    • Description
    The coupling is used to connect one section of 5/8 in. supply tubing to another section of 1/2 in. supply tubing or dripline. With the increaser/reducer coupler, simply insert the tubing end inside the color coded 5/8 in. (green) X 1/2 in. (black) compression ring, where an internal barb compresses into the tube to hold it in place. Made for durability, the compression fitting is made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) treated with UV inhibitors to prevent cracking.
  • Increase or reduce water flow in the line by connecting 5/8 in. and 1/2 in. supply tubing or dripline together; Works in a variety of areas, from small to large, flat or sloped, to join distribution tubing in your drip irrigation system
  • Fits 5/8 in. tubing with 0.700 in. OD; Fits 1/2 in. tubing with 0.620 in. OD
  • Rock the end of tubing back and forth while pushing it into the compression fitting, where an internal barb will compress the tube to hold it in place; for rigid tubing, consider soaking the tube end in hot water or leaving out in the sun
  • Creates a watertight connection; has an internal barb that compresses the inserted tubing to hold it in place; unlike a barbed fitting, the tubing is not stretched out to connect to the fitting
