SaberDrive Platinum construction lag screws are rigorously tested according to AC233 and AC257 standards for structural properties and corrosion resistance (ICC ESR #4214), providing long-lasting performance in demanding environments. Suitable for engineered wood-to-wood connections, SaberDrive Platinum construction lag screws are code-listed under IBC/IRC in accordance with ICC-ES AC233 and AC257. A great alternative to traditional lag screws and carriage bolts, SaberDrive Platinum construction lag screws feature a Type 17 point and serrated threads that eliminate the need for predrilling in most cases. This design helps speed installation while reducing wood splitting and damage. The star drive ensures maximum tool-to-fastener torque transfer, helping prevent cam-out and making installation quicker and more efficient. The large washer head provides exceptional holding power, helping ensure secure and stable connections. Each screw is head stamped with its length, allowing easy identification even after installation. SaberDrive Platinum construction lag screws are available in tan and green XL1500 coated finishes, as well as 305 and 316 stainless steel. The proprietary XL1500 coating has been tested by the International Code Council and has been shown to exceed the protection offered by hot-dipped galvanized fasteners. It is approved for use in exterior applications and chemically treated lumber. SaberDrive Platinum construction lag screws are designed to withstand harsh conditions and provide long term durability.
