V-notches are located at each roof pitch to help accurately align your pencil when marking common top cuts. The frame has 1/16 in scale graduations for precision and measures all the way to 7-1/4 in to reach the full width of a 2x8 material. Scribe notches for ripping lumber are positioned every 1/8 in. The 1 in wide multi-functional heel with replaceable level vial serves as a torpedo to indicate level and plumb and allows angle or roof pitch measurements on existing structures. The heel also features 1/16 in scale graduations on the bottom and both sides offering maximum versatility with rapid and reliable measuring.
