Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Rust Reformer is a waterbased film forming product that chemically converts rust into a smooth, paintable surface, so there is no need to sand to bare metal. Products are available in both spray and brush for flexibility in application.
  • Durable, corrosion-resistant formula is compatible with most solvent and oil-based paints
  • Ideal on interior/exterior rusted metal surfaces
  • Oil based product, apply several light coats a few minutes apart to prevent running and sagging
  • Dries to the touch in 20-40 minutes and can be recoated with an oil base paint after 3 hours or a lacquer after 3 days.
